Experiment Method
Aim: Which brand of paper towel is more effective in absorbing a substance
Method:
1. The three substances (water beer and BBQ sauce) were measured to give 5mL.
2. The paper towels were measured to ensure all 5 different paper towels were the same size and mass.
3. The substance was poured out into an equal area.
4. The paper towel was placed over the area. After 10 seconds it was removed.
5. Step 4 was repeated until the substance disappeared.
6. Steps 3-5 were repeated for the other two substances.
7. Observations and results were recorded.
Results:
Intended to be in a table format.
E.g.
How many paper towels it takes to absorb a substance:
| | Brand 1 | Brand 2 | Brand 3 | Brand 4 | Brand 5 |
| Substance 1 – Water | | | | | |
| Substance 2 – Beer | | | | | |
| Substance 3 – BBQ sauce | | | | | |
AVERAGE IS THEN CALCULATED
Observations recorded afterwards on each individual paper towel's reaction to the substance.
Column graph is also produced to show comparison in the number of paper towels needed for each brand to absorb substance.
N.B. This experiment has not be conducted YET.
Therefore method and recording of the results may change. However, presently, this is the most likely to be the method and result recording for the experiment.
Annie, definitely not enough information on your blog. You need to be looking at background information on absorbancy as well as information about paper towels, how they absorb liquids, etc.
